Wyoming Department of Corrections records show Barrett is currently housed at the Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins.

A jury in Natrona County District Court convicted Samuel Barrett on Oct. 15.

A pre-sentence investigation will be conducted over the next eight to nine weeks and a sentencing date will be set.

The prosecution and defense rested their cases, the defense did not call any witnesses, and the matter will go to the jury later today.

The officers found no guns of any kind.

The trial resumes at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Barrett remains free on a $100,000 bond.

It's expected to last eight days.

The trial, which is expected to last two weeks, is scheduled to begin in March.
