The Wyoming Highway Patrol is urging drivers to move over and slow down for emergency vehicles following a Saturday evening crash involving one of their lieutenants.

Wyoming law requires drivers to slow down or move over when encountering an emergency vehicle that has activated its lights or siren.

With the influx of visitors and motor vehicles in the county due to the solar eclipse, first responders are at greater risk for injury as more and more drivers fail to yield and stay out of the way.
