Months after a fire raged through an apartment complex in the City of Mills, new information is being brought to light on whether the Mills Fire Department ran out of water while fighting the fire.

The investigation lasted 20 days and included multiple law enforcement, federal and fire agencies.

The Mills Fire Department was recently the recipient of a $10,600 grant from the Plains All American First Responder Grant Program.

Mills Fire Department Chief Bob Lanz is aiming to put to rest rumors regarding Friday night's apartment fire.

Casper Fire-EMS has released a video update regarding the structure fire that occurred on Friday evening in Mills, Wyoming.

"Multiple agencies are actively investigating this incident," the release noted. "We will need time and patience from the public during this investigation, as we figure out what started this fire. We will update you with more information on findings as it becomes available. This was a very complex incident with a lot of dynamic factors affecting the situation."

A fire in Mills has resulted in the death of a family's dog.

Sinclair Casper Refining Company donated three new project lifesaver locators each to the Mills and Evansville Fire Departments along with the Natrona County Fire Protection District.

This Saturday (January 15) from 11 am to 4 pm at The Wagon Wheel is the first annual MFD Chili Cookoff. Proceeds will go towards the Citizens Relief Fund.

The call came in at 12:20 p.m. Thursday.
