The U.S. is commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, the deadliest terror strike ever on U.S. soil.

The deadliest attack on the LGBTQ community in U.S. history left 49 people dead and 53 people wounded as “Latin Night” was being celebrated at the club.

During a ceremony held Monday afternoon at Casper College, attendees got to hear firsthand the experience of a Casper whose son died serving overseas.

He is also filming ceremonies and wreathlayings for the families.

The coronavirus pandemic and its lockdown restrictions made sure the famous Omaha Beach landing strip was largely deserted.

Many of the protests were more subdued for a second night.

The silence was broken with an overflight of fighter jets in missing man formation.

Before joining the Casper Fire-EMS Department, he served in the California Department of Forestry for three years.

Now, the memorial travels the United States as a means of honoring those who serve and their families.

Blonigen told Wilking that 374 victims have been identified, and they continued to come forward up until just a few days before Wednesday's sentencing hearing.
