Mark Gordon

Republicans Megan Degenfelder, of Laramie, and Jennifer Zerba, of Casper, are taking on recently appointed State Superintendent Brian Schroeder.

Gordon was elected governor in 2018, defeating arch-conservative Foster Friess and several other candidates in the 2018 GOP Gubernatorial Primary with a plurality of 33 percent of the vote.

Governor Gordon has established a team to, in his words, "ensure federal infrastructure bill is implemented on Wyoming's terms."

"We will miss her experience and expertise," Governor Gordon said. "She has worked to improve our state’s education system, and I thank her for her efforts. Her service to the State has been exemplary, and I wish her well in her new role.”

Various members of Governor Gordon's cabinet will be hosting a virtual town hall on Friday, January 7th regarding funding from the American Rescue Plan.

This was done after an agreement with the EPA was reversed.

Jennie Gordon, the First Lady and wife of Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon, recently stopped by Mimi's House, an organization designed to provide housing, guidance, and love to Natrona County's homeless teenagers.

"This isn't about making us feel good," Ladd stated. "But it does, ya know? To be able to make that child feel special and to feel like they're taken care of, but hopefully also to communicate to the parent or guardian that there's an entire community here that really, truly, cares about them; it does mean a lot to us."

Governor Mark Gordon has recently appointed John G. Fenn to the Wyoming Supreme Court. Fenn’s appointment fills the open seat left by the retirement of Justice Michael Davis.

Governor Mark Gordon has recently released a balanced budget for the next two fiscal years.
