Mayor Ray Pacheco affirmed the council's support for Casper Police Officer Jacob Carlson, who was gravely wounded during a gun fight on May 6.

On May 6, Carlson and another officer went to the area of Fairdale Park for a report of a man driving with two children in a vacant lot.

McPheeters had been on patrol in the area when he saw two people get into the back of a maroon 2005 Chrysler passenger vehicle.

This is the news the entire city has been waiting to hear for over a month now.

The new technology will integrate vehicle cameras and body cameras that will be integrated with the cameras in the police station.

New Casper Police Chief Keith McPheeters is a 25-year veteran of the Farmington, N.M., Police Department.
