Thanks to a chemical shortage at a water treatment plant, Casper and surrounding areas are under a water restriction.

The temporary ban imposed Friday on watering lawns has been lifted, according to a news release from the Casper Police Department on Sunday morning.

The city of Casper is complying with the irrigation ban instituted by the Central Wyoming Regional Water Joint Powers Board and shut off its sprinklers for city buildings and parks.

The joint powers board that supplies water to a region of water districts and the city of Casper has instituted a mandatory irrigation ban for all its customers, basically, no watering your lawns for 72 hours.
