The sheriff says a few simple steps can keep your ice fishing trip fun and safe.

It's January in Wyoming and for a lot of folks that means ice fishing.

Over the weekend, an F-350 Ford truck on the ice at Boysen Reservoir crossed a pressure ridge near Tough Creek Campground and plunged into the water after encountering thin ice.

The three new waters added under the provision are Boulder Lake in Sublette County and Lake Hattie and Wheatland Reservoir #3 in Albany County.

Wyoming Game and Fish has loosened some of its ice fishing regulations on over 20 bodies of water in the state. Under the special provision, ice anglers can fish with up to six lines instead of the normal maximum of two at certain Wyoming lakes and reservoirs...

GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (AP) — The Sweetwater County sheriff is reminding ice fishermen to stay safe during upcoming fishing derbies. If you want to catch walleye head to Alcova and for trout its Pathfinder.  That's the word from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department as the ice thickens and fishermen head out. Robin Kepple, at the G&F Casper Field Office,  says they're encouraging anglers to try Alcova for Walleye. "The proportion of trophy fish in Alcova is much higher than any other walleye water in the state. In fact,
