A 26-year-old Cheyenne man accused of stealing a $40,000 truck is facing five to 44 years in prison after the victim and police used OnStar to track him down.
The man arrested for allegedly robbing a bank in Douglas on Monday was caught, in part, because he borrowed his girlfriend's car with a GPS tracking system, according to the criminal complaint filed by the FBI on Wednesday.
Wyoming residents and others across the country might also see the effects of a large solar storm Thursday and Friday. That storm could allow area residents to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
The patrol says a 19 year-old female was located last weekend by troopers on a U.S. Forest Service road in the Big Horn mountains after spending a night in her car after she became stuck. She was apparently following driving instructions on her GPS.
