A gas leak has currently restricted traffic and evacuated residents in east Casper.

The cause of the leak remains under investigation.

Currently, the Mullen Fire is at 96,757 acres in size. It is 0% contained.

Officials say rural communities in Woods Landing and Jelm Mountain were evacuated last June during a nearby forest fire.

Cabins and a Boy Scouts camp were evacuated as the fire surged Tuesday and Wednesday.

It was first reported Monday at an estimated 500 acres in size.

Fire managers still expected to have the Pedro Mountain Fire totally contained by Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The lightning-caused fire started Saturday and is burning in sage, grass, juniper and pine stands.

Evacuations remain in place for Pedro Mountain Estates, Pedro Mountain Ranch Road and Cardwell Ranch.

There are still restrictions on some backcountry areas.
