"Freedom for Olinza; set him free!" rang throughout the downtown area as several supporters of Olinza Headd and his family protested the sentence that he was given after shooting and killing the man who he said molested his granddaughter.
Olinza Headd was charged with manslaughter in the death of Eugene Hogan III, a man that Headd claims molested his granddaughter. He could serve up to 20 years in prison. Is it fair? Is it just? Is Headd a monster or a martyr? Wyoming Responds.
The protest is currently being planned for May 6th at 4 p.m. It will take place outside of the Casper Police Department, located at 201 North David Street.
Several members reportedly told police that after a January 17 service concluded, Olinza Headd stood up and publicly announced that he shot and killed a man.
