A federal judge in Maryland ruled earlier this month that DACA should be restored.

The program helps immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children to legally work and protects them from deportation.

Trump on Friday denounced a Supreme Court ruling that the administration improperly ended the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program in 2017.

For now, those immigrants retain their protection from deportation and their authorization to work in the United States.

A decision is expected by June 2020, amid the presidential election campaign.
