The Casper Rotary Club held a ribbon cutting ceremony to announce the newest addition to Crossroads Park in Casper.

In its 18 years of existence in Natrona County, the 'Breaking the Silence' walk has offered survivors of suicide an opportunity to remember their loved ones, to honor them, and to maybe, just maybe, offer them some semblance of peace.

As of August, 15 people in Natrona County died by suicide, according to the Natrona County Coroner's Office.

The play areas at Crossroads Park are geared more toward younger children.

The end-of-summer tradition raises money for Casper's Platte River Trails Trust

More than 600 volunteers on Saturday morning picked up trash, placed fencing around trees, hauled off bad trees and sowed good seed to crowd out bad grass for the ninth annual Platte River Revival day.

The Natrona County Suicide Prevention Task Force hosts its annual "Breaking the Silence" walk at Crossroads Park at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The 7th Annual Breaking the Silence Suicide Prevention Walk is slated to start at 4 PM  Saturday 9/17 at Crossroads Park.
