COVID-19 hospitalizations

The hospital had 17 COVID-19 patients on Monday, a 60% drop from Jan. 31.

Several people came up to speak to the Casper city council on Tuesday about the COVID-19 policies at the Wyoming Medical Center.

The Wyoming National Guard has been deployed at hospitals in various capacities since September and, based on funding from FEMA, will be there until April.

While many have been impacted by COVID-19, some have also had to deal with the financial issues that the virus can create.

The hospital also lost four patients to COVID-19 between Dec. 6-12, none of whom were vaccinated.

Wyoming COVID-19 hospitalizations fell to 120 on Tuesday, the lowest level since Aug. 16, 2021, when there were 112 patients being treated for the virus in state hospitals.

The Wyoming Department of Health on Tuesday reported 49 more coronavirus-related deaths, bringing the state's death toll to 1,347.

Wyoming COVID-19 hospitalizations climbed to 242 on Tuesday, the highest level since Nov. 30, 2020, when there were 247 patients being treated for the virus in state hospitals.

As the country continues to deal with the impact of COVID-19, the Wyoming Medical Center has seen its fair share of COVID-19 patients in this most recent wave of the virus.

The Wyoming Department of Health on Tuesday reported 45 more coronavirus-related deaths, bringing the state's death toll to 1,041.
