A winter storm watch has been posted for Cheyenne starting on Thursday afternoon.

I-25 between Colorado and Casper will also see considerable areas of blowing and drifting snow, Day says, with strong northwest winds Thursday.

After midnight and through early Friday, a chance of snow will be present for the entire eastern side of Wyoming, as far west as Rawlins.

Weather permitting, some roads will reopen to traffic on April 20.

WYDOT reminds drivers that parking on any section of closed roadway is prohibited and delays WYDOT's efforts to reopen the road.

Wet roads are expected statewide, and hunters are cautioned to be prepared.
