Kids Art A La Carte has been an institution of the Child Development Center for the past 20 years. This year marks its 21st anniversary and the event itself with be bigger than ever, with a live auction, entertainment, dinner, and more.

“As a parent, it means a lot,” she said with tears in her eyes. “You struggle to try and give your kids everything and then, when you can’t give them something on Christmas, it breaks your heart. To be able to have an opportunity to get that, and then you don’t have to feel like a bad parent, it’s amazing. It’s a great feeling.”

CDC staff is also wearing personal protective equipment.

The development center will send a packet of materials to encourage learning and development at home during the closure.
