Senator John Barrasso, along with Senator Cynthia Lummis voted today that the impeachment trial against former president Donald Trump was 'unconstitutional,' though the Senate majority voted in favor of moving forward with the trial.

Former President Donald Trump is rejecting a request by House Democrats to testify under oath for his Senate impeachment trial.

Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., said he believed Trump had committed “impeachable offenses.” But he stopped short of saying whether he would vote to remove the president from office at the conclusion of a Senate trial if the House sent over articles of impeachment.
