The preliminary crash investigation indicates that the driver suffered a medical emergency while driving, resulting in the crash. The vehicle has been removed from the river.
"I am investigating it as a suicide right now, but won't have any final conclusions for a couple days," Natrona County Coroner James Whipps told K2 Radio News.
Jacquie Anderson, owner and operator of The Cheese Barrel in Downtown Casper, announced on Facebook that her prized car, a vintage Model A Ford Sedan, was the victim of an alleged hit and run which occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 10.
Photos from the accident reveal that a Casper Police patrol car was involved in the wreck, with damage so bad that it deployed the CPD patrol car's airbags.
