While Governor Mark Gordon is generally considered the favorite in his race for re-election, Rep. Liz Cheney is facing a tough re-election fight in her own party.

Wyoming's primary election is slated for August 16.

Gordon was elected governor in 2018, defeating arch-conservative Foster Friess and several other candidates in the 2018 GOP Gubernatorial Primary with a plurality of 33 percent of the vote.
