What a difference a day and a cold front make.  A much cooler air mass has settled over the state just behind the cold front that moved through yesterday and last night.  It will be especially cooler in the southeast where daytime high temperatures will only be in the upper 40s and lower 50s.  Other areas, including Casper, will see highs in the 50s and lower 60s.

It will be mainly dry in Casper, but a few scattered showers are expected in the southeast today and this evening.  Higher elevations near Laramie around The Summit and in the Snowy Range and Sierra Madres may see a rain/snow mix tonight.

The weekend starts off on the cool side.  Conditions on Saturday will be similar to those today, with again the best chance for showers in the southeast.  The northwest may see a few light showers too.

Watch for a few isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms on Mother’s Day Sunday.  Temperatures will be warmer with highs back into the mid 60s and lower 70s.
