PhotoFest! Natrona Posts Big Win Over Kelly Walsh in the Oil Bowl
The Oil Bowl football game in Casper began way back in 1965 and the latest edition was Friday night before a packed house at Cheney Alumni Field as Natrona played host to Kelly Walsh. NC found the end zone twice in the 1st quarter as Will Cantrell scored on a 3-yard run and a 9-yard catch from Trig Berens giving the Mustangs a 14-0 lead.
The Natrona defense held Kelly Walsh in check from start to finish and came up with a safety in the 2nd quarter to bump the lead to 16. Beau Russell had a 25-yard TD reception over the middle so the Mustangs led 23-0 at the break.
Cantrell tallied his 3rd touchdown of the game in the 3rd quarter from the doorstep and Tim Edmondson picked up a fumble and rambled 86 yards for a touchdown. Natrona wins it going away 37-0 to get to 3-1 on the year and they will be at Cheyenne South on Friday. Kelly Walsh falls to 1-3 and will host Campbell County this week.
