Natrona’s Gage Brooks Signs with Chadron St. for Football & Track
Natrona County athlete Gage Brooks will take his skills to Chadron State in the fall to compete in football and track and field. In football, he was a wide receiver on offense and cornerback on defense, so it was busy for him on the gridiron. On offense, he caught 18 balls for 274 yards and five touchdowns and also returned a kick-off 90 yards for a touchdown. On defense, he was in 18 tackles from his secondary spot. Chadron State is in the family roots as he father played football for the Eagles.
Brooks competed in 4 events at the 2024 4A State Outdoor Track & Field Meet with a 3rd place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 44-11.75. He also ran on Natrona's 4x100 relay team, which placed 3rd, and the 1600 sprint medley team, which took 5th. Brooks also qualified for State in the 200-meter dash.
Chadron State is a Division II institution that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
