Team USA scored the final 31 points of the game to beat Canada, 65-44, in CanAm Bowl XXVI last Saturday in Meeteetse, WY. Team USA trailed 44-34 in the third quarter and took the lead for good with 1:55 left in the third. Gage Mintken from Nebraska had 3 TD runs, Wyatt Trembly of Dubois had 2 TD runs and 2 TD passes, and Konner Rowden-Stum from Colorado added 2 more TD runs in the victory for Team USA.

Mintken (Hay Springs, NE) was selected as the Team USA Offensive Player of the Game. Haiden Thompson (Miami, TX) was named the Team USA Defensive Player of the Game.

Team Canada's Offensive MVP was quarter Hunter Barnstable from the Hafford Vikings. Their Defensive MVP was Jacob Fehr from the Rosetown Royals.

The game was back and forth throughout the first half. Canada scored on the second play of the game thanks to a 51-yard TD pass. Trembly answered for Team USA with a 1-yard TD run. Canada led 20-14 at the end of the first quarter and held a 36-34 lead at halftime.

Canada scored first in the second half and took a 44-34 lead. Trembly's second TD run of 70 yards with 5:11 left in the third quarter brought Team USA within 44-42. After forcing a turnover on downs, Team USA took the lead for good on Rowden-Stum's 4-yard TD run. That made the score 50-44. Mintken added TD runs of 21 and 20 yards in the fourth quarter. An interception by Thompson sealed the win with 1:07 left in the game.

Team USA forced the only two turnovers of the game. They also recovered a fumble in the first half, which stopped a Canada drive at the USA 5-yard line.
