It doesn't take much to get you excited as you get older. A lovely, beautiful Wyoming morning, a pretty sunrise or sunset, a phone call from a long-lost friend, or a life hack that can make things easier.

Scrolling through social media, I see that every other video is a hack someone is trying to debunk or show how great they are.

Most of the time, they aren't as cool as the poster makes them out to be, but sometimes you smack yourself at how simple and easy it is and wonder why you've never thought of that.

As winter approaches Wyoming and the snow and cold settle in for the next few months, I thought a few winter hacks could help combat the season's frustrations.

YouTube is an excellent source of fun, easy, helpful hacks. I found a video with ten winter hacks that I was looking for.

The video shows how you can winterize your shoes with items around the house, lube up your snow shovel, ease the misery of a winter head cold with easy hand warmers, or warm up your ice-cold sheets before you crawl in at night.

It's wild to think that someone sat around and thought about all these whacky ways to make life a little more enjoyable through the winter months, and then too the time to make a video to share them with all of us.

If you're looking for cool winter hacks, watch the video and be amazed.

You're welcome.

The 10 Commandments For Winter Driving in Casper

The town of Casper has its unique challenges during the winter. We have no-plow streets, the wind changes the winter landscape hourly, and the plows leave mountains of snow in the middle of the road. We are also blessed with some great people that are willing to give a helping hand when needed. These are the unspoken rules of the road here in Wyoming.
