Manyawu Named Mountain West Freshman of the Week

LARAMIE -- After a historic first two games to start his career, Cam Manyawu (Man-Yao) was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week on Monday.
He recorded double-doubles in his first two games of his career becoming the first Cowboy to do so in their first two games with the program in the Mountain West era of Cowboy basketball.
Manywau, a 6-foot-9, 228-pound native of Kansas City, Mo., averaged 16.0 points per to go along with 10 rebounds per night. He also added three assists per game and shot 80 percent from the field going 12-of-15.

He recorded 19 points and added 10 rebounds in the win over Cal Poly. He was also a perfect 7-of-7 from the field in the contest. Manyawu also added 13 points with 10 rebounds against Northern New Mexico College. He dished out five assists in the game, as well, as Wyoming recorded 22 in the contest.
The Pokes hit the road and head to the Myrtle Beach Invitational and face Saint Louis in the opening round on Nov. 16 in a contest starting at Noon MT on ESPN2.
