It was a Super Bowl Sunday with a bad ending.

On Friday, August 19th, Dustin Jones of Evansville was sentenced to 5 to 7 years at the Wyoming State Penitentiary, after pleading guilty to the charge of driving under the influence, with serious bodily injury.

According to an Evansville Police Affadavit, on the evening of February 6th, Jones was driving his girlfriend's car, and ended up dragging his girlfriend, Danielle Dull, almost 250 feet through the Evansville streets.

Miss Dull ended up spending 3 weeks at a Denver hospital getting treatments for the life-threatening injuries that she sustained in the incident, including fractures to her pelvis, shoulder blade and she suffered a hematoma.

Jones told the court he has no memory of that night, and police say his blood alcohol content was more than 3 times the legal limit.

He has also been ordered to pay more than $320,000 in restitution.
