City Council will receive comments from the public about the proposed annexation of nearly four acres on Casper's east side, according to its agenda for its meeting in city hall at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The land's owner, Kevin Kalies, applied for the annexation of the property located north of Interstate 25 and south of the Old Glenrock Highway, and immediately west of Hereford Lane.

The city's development department has reviewed the annexation application, and said the vacant land will be used for industrial development.

Annexation will benefit the city because the land will have access to emergency services, it is next to other property in the city, and it will not cost the city any money, and it will bring in more tax revenue to the city compared to what it brings to Natrona County, according to the development department.

The city council will receive comments from four people about the proposed changes in codes about digital signs.

It also will consider a resolution to support the Casper-Natrona County Economic Development Joint Powers Board's request for a nearly $1.6 million grant from the Wyoming Business Council for infrastructure development in the proposed Salt Creek Industrial Park south of Bar Nunn. Natrona County will consider the same resolution at its meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
