Thirty firefighters from four fire departments battled a blaze at an industrial building in southwest Cheyenne late Monday night.

Crews were called to the 4100 block of W. 5th Street around 10:30 p.m. and had the fire under control at 4 a.m. Tuesday morning.

City of Cheyenne spokesman Scott Smith says sub-zero wind chills caused water lines to freeze and air tanks to malfunction and one firefighter was injured after slipping on the ice.

The building, which was unoccupied at the time of the fire, was considered a total loss. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
