Nicholaus Harford and Raechel Holmes Arrested In Connection With Armed Robbery Case

A Casper man is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint, while a friend of his is accused of trying to spend some of the money stolen.

Twenty-five year old Nicholaus Harford is facing one felony charge of aggravated robbery, while 21 year old Raechel Holmes is facing misdemeanor charges of attempting to obtain goods by false pretenses, conspiracy to attempt to obtain goods by false pretenses and possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say sometime Sunday morning, (September 13th), the victim was cleaning out a friend's car near the intersection of East 4th and South Park Streets, when he heard footsteps behind him and a male voice saying "give me your money."

The victim turned around, saw a male (later determined to be Harford), with a handgun pointed at him, and a bandanna covering his face.

Harford took the victim's wallet and cell phone.

Police learned that there was an attempt to use the victim's debit cards at a gas station, and surveillance video showed Holmes as the one trying to use them, but was not successful.

When interviewed, Holmes said she was contacted by Harford who admitted to the robbery, and then he gave her one of the victim's debit cards to use, but that story changed and Holmes said she was present when the robbery was committed.

Holmes added that Harford, another accomplice and herself all planned to use the stolen debit cards.

Officers later recovered a gun (BB gun), and found some methamphetamine in the getaway vehicle.

Harford is being held on $75,000 bond awaiting trial and could face between five-to-25 years in prison on the aggravated robbery charge if convicted.

Meanwhile, Holmes is being held on $1,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face up to six months in jail on the attempt to obtain goods by false pretenses and the conspiracy charge, and up to one year in jail on the possession of a controlled substance charge, if convicted.
