An Evansville man will avoid prison after admitting that he had sex with an underaged girl.

Kyle Stickley was given a three-to-five year suspended prison sentence with five years of probation, after he pleaded guilty to one charge of second degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Stickley, who was 20 at the time of his arrest, told the court he met the victim on the social media site, badoo.com, in mid-November.

After chatting on line for a month, he picked her up at her residence in December, drove her to his apartment in Evansville, and had sex with her in his bedroom.

At the sentencing hearing, prosecutors told Judge Catherine Wilking that the victim told Stickley, that she was 18 at the time.

Judge Wilking was considering rejecting the plea deal, but went along with it, after learning that the victim, and the victim's father also agreed to the deal.

Stickley has been ordered to complete the felony program at the Casper Re-Entry Center, and he is to be held at the Natrona County Detention Center, until he is accepted into the program.

He has also been ordered to write a letter of apology to both the victim and the victim's father.

Three other men are facing similar charges, in connection to this case.

Two have been sentenced, while Zachary Hammond pleaded guilty, but is back behind bars after violating a condition of his bond, for being arrested for DUI.
