The Natrona County Travel and Tourism Council, today announced that Aaron McCreight, CEO will be leaving the Casper Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CACVB) in May. The CACVB is the marketing arm of the Natrona County Travel and Tourism Council, a joint powers board, whose mission is to enhance the economic base of Natrona County through tourism. Its primary objective is to encourage more and longer visitor stays through marketing programs aimed at the convention/meeting, individual, motor coach and special events markets.

Mr. McCreight, CEO since October 2008, has accepted the position of President and CEO with Cedar Rapids Area Convention and Visitors Bureau in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Aaron McCreight, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, lived in Casper in 2004-’05 serving as the Assistant General Manager of the Casper Rockies and then returned to Casper in 2008. He spent three years in St. Louis as the Assistant General Manager for both the River City Rascals Baseball Club and the River City Rage Indoor Football Team. Aaron has worked in professional sports for over a decade and brought with him a competitive spirit and a strong marketing and management background to the CACVB. He and his wife, April, a Casper native, along with their sons, Cooper and Collin look forward to beginning a new chapter of their lives in Cedar Rapids.

Members of the Natrona County Travel and Tourism Council would like to thank Mr. McCreight for his commitment and his work in successfully guiding the CACVB and wish him all the best for the future, both personally and professionally.

The search for a successor is underway. Information on the appointment of a new CEO will be shared when available. In the meantime, Council members, Mr. McCreight and the CACVB staff continue to work closely together.

McCreight is also half owner of the Casper Cutthroats baseball team. His percentage is said to be for sale.
