A Casper man has been accused of trying to obtain pornographic images of teens.

Twenty-five year old David Land has been charged with one count of sexual exploitation of children and one charge of third degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Investigators with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation say in May, they had received a lead from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who in turn, received the lead from a social network site, that a 13-year old male was soliciting the production of child pornography from a 15-year old girl.

The network site suspected the 13-year old was Land, using an alias, because both Land's and the alias's account, had the same computer IP address.

Investigators confirmed the suspicion and traced the IP address back to Land's computer, and were able to obtain transcripts of some of the messages transmitted back and forth, between Land's alias account and a number of teenage girls.

When interviewed by DCI agents, Land admitted to having inappropriate chat conversations with people he shouldn't have been in conversations with.

He is being held on $20,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face between five-to-12 years in prison on the sexual exploitation of children charge, and up to 15 years in prison on the third degree sexual abuse of a minor charge, if convicted.
