The case involving a Casper man who is accused of attempting to kill another man is moving to district court.

A judge has ruled that there is probable cause for prosecutors to move forward on four charges against 26-year old Zacharia Johnson...including one charge of attempted first degree murder.

Investigators say in early March, Johnson and 30-year old Robert Simmons entered the home of Robert Masterson, on the 700 block of South Beverly Street.

Masterson was stabbed several times in the neck, torso, leg and stomach.

Johnson is awaiting trial could receive life in prison without parole, if convicted on the attempted murder charge.

Meanwhile, Simmons has pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated burglary and is waiting to be sentenced.
