You Can Find A Jackson Hole In China

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — There's a vacation resort named Jackson Hole, but not the one you know in Wyoming.

This Jackson Hole resort is located in central China.

A Beijing developer hired Portland, Ore., interior designer Allison Smith to create a large tract of second homes with American designs.

Smith showed the developers some successful, popular U.S. resort communities such as Martha's Vineyard, Vail and Jackson Hole.

She tells the Jackson Hole News & Guide ( HYPERLINK "http://bit.ly/xcaqdk" ) that they fell in love with Jackson Hole's western theme.

Smith says the homes in Jackson Hole, China, have sold out and nearly tripled in value since being built.

In addition, she says the Chinese developers have since visited the real Jackson Hole in Wyoming, including the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar and Yellowstone National Park.
