YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — The National Park Service plans a series of open house meetings in February to get public comment on what issues to address in a long-term plan to guide winter use at Yellowstone National Park.

The issue of how many snowmobiles and snow coaches to allow into Yellowstone during the winter months has been contentious for years. The National Park Service released a plan in May 2011, but later decided that more study of the issue was necessary.

Park staff plan the following meetings, each from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.:

— Cody: Feb. 13, Holiday Inn, 1702 Sheridan Ave.

— Jackson: Feb. 14, The Virginian Lodge, 750 W. Broadway.

— West Yellowstone, Mont: Feb.15, Holiday Inn, 315 Yellowstone Ave.

— Bozeman, Mont: Feb. 16, Holiday Inn, 5 Baxter Lane
