CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is up slightly to 4.6 percent in August, the same as it was a year ago.

The Department of Workforce Services says the state's unemployment rate was 4.4 percent in July and increased in August with the loss of about 950 jobs.

The agency says the state has gained 4,700 jobs over the past 12 months.

The national unemployment rate fell by 0.1 percentage point to 6.1 percent in August.
