It appears the number of people dying in crashes last year in Wyoming will be the lowest it has been since 1945. As it stands at the moment, Wyoming's 2013 traffic fatality count from vehicle crashes will account for 86 deaths. In 1945, traffic deaths totaled 71.

The 2013 number is down 34 fatalities as reported for the previous year, or a reduction of just over 28-percent. These numbers reflect all fatal traffic crashes and reported fatalities investigated by city, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies across the State on public roadways.

The deadliest period Wyoming has seen was 1981 with a record 261 traffic fatalities reported for the year.
