POWELL, Wyo. (AP) — Seven people who shared a home in northern Wyoming are facing felony charges after police say their use of meth endangered children.

Police searched the house in Cody last week and found multiple young children dehydrated, hungry and living in filthy conditions.

Police obtained a warrant to search the house for meth after an officer previously attempted to arrest a resident.

In court documents, Officers say the bedrooms were covered with trash and four of the children were dirty with diapers that "appeared to be unchanged for quite some time."

Police found five pipes with residue and three vials containing crystal substances inside bedrooms.

The state Department of Family Services took the five children into protective custody.
