LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming hospital is informing patients that their billing and health information may have been compromised after a security breach involving its website vendor.

Ivinson Memorial Hospital's website services provider, FastHealth, informed officials in May that an unauthorized third party may have gathered patients' billing and health-related information that they entered into online patient web forms by altering a code on its web server.

A news release says patients who used the Laramie hospital's online bill-pay platform or filled out a patient intake from Jan. 14 through Dec. 20, 2016 were affected.

FastHealth says they have removed the unauthorized code from its web servers and the hospital has taken down the bill-pay option from its website.
