ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — The Bureau of Land Management is offering nearly 200,000 acres of federal land in Wyoming in its next oil and gas lease sale.

The lease sale set for June will include 162 parcels in areas of Sweetwater, Carbon, Lincoln and Uinta counties.

Bidding opens on June 20 and ends the next day. The sale will be conducted online.

The bureau's March lease sale in Wyoming brought in nearly $20 million. The sale resulted in competitive bids for 152 of the 170 parcels offered. The highest bid was just over $12,000 per acre.

The state receives about half of the proceeds of each lease sale.
