Rock Springs Police say an armed standoff and hostage situation was resolved earlier this month without any serious injuries or deaths.

According to the RSPD Facebook page, police were called out a little before 3 A.M. on Oct. 6. Police soon learned that 26-year-old Damian Solis was holding four people at knifepoint.

A Tactical Response Team was then called to the scene and started negotiating with Solis. After a three-hour standoff, Solis released the four hostages and surrendered to police.

Solis was arrested and charged with four counts of kidnapping and five counts of aggravated assault.
