A big-hearted horse from Wyoming, named Tonk, is a main character in the story of bravery in the face of a charging grizzly that took place this past July.

Female lead wrangler, Erin Bolster, at Swan Mountain Outfitters in Montana was a-top Tonk, a large spirited grey, and on a routine trail ride near Glacier National Park when a charging grizzly burst on to the scene.

In the ensuing chaos and drama Erin and Tonk decoyed the bear away from a young rider, possibly saving his life.

Reporter Rich Landers, says Erin and Tonk's story has gone virile, as it should, and when he last spoke to her, she told him the marriage proposals and job offers were pouring in.
