The Wyoming National Guard wrapped up a three day exercise in the Salt Lake City Area Thursday.

'Operation Utah Shake Out' was an earthquake disaster drill that simulated a magnitude 7 earthquake.

Joint Task Force Commander, Col. Shelly Campbell, says Salt Lake City sits on the Wasatch fault line and is at high risk for an earthquake. Estimates suggest some 1.3 million people would be impacted by widespread destruction with the likelihood of thousand of deaths. She says the exercise involved about 900,000 people from civilian and governmental agencies across the state and region.

"Its just been a great exercise for us. It always helps to prepare and build relationships with our neighbors, because they may have to respond to help us at some point."
