Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced four men for counterfeiting, assault, weapons and illegal alien crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Russell Black, 20, of Torrington for counterfeiting. Black was arrested in Fort Collins, Colo. He received six days of imprisonment, to be followed by two years of probation, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and $800 in restitution.

This case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service.

Skavdahl also sentenced Kilburn Troy Timbana, 31, of Arapahoe for assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm. He received three years of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of probation, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and $463.73 in restitution.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced Joshua Miller, 37, of Cheyenne for possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic violence and for possession of a stolen firearm. He received five years, 10 months months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of probation.

This case was investigated by the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Freudenthal also sentenced Pedro Hernandez-Perez, 48, of Guatemala for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Hernandez-Perez was arrested in Casper. He received time served, plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subjection to deportation upon release from custody.

This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
