The Wyoming Department of Agriculture will host two public meetings that will address the agriculture industry and the current drought and fire conditions throughout the state.

Producers, legislators, industry groups and more have been invited to participate in the meetings in each of the locations that will focus on two main goals. The first goal is to inform those attending about the current drought conditions and fire issues throughout the state along with information pertaining to disaster assistance program status and requirements. The second goal is to garner input from attendees on how the Wyoming Department of Agriculture can best serve producers of the State during these trying circumstances.

The first meeting will be held in Rock Springs on Monday, July 30th at 2 p.m. in the Grace Grasson Room at the White Mountain Library. The White Mountain Library is located at 2935 Sweetwater Drive in Rock Springs, Wyo.

The second meeting will be held in Thermopolis on Wednesday, August 8th at 2 p.m. in the Big Horn Federal Bank.
