CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Community College Commission has increased tuition by $5 per credit hour and capped tuition at 15 credits.

If an in-state student took 15 credit hours a semester this year, they would pay $94 per credit hour and pay only for the first 12 credits. That adds up to $1,128.

After the recent commission action that same student will pay $99 per credit hour for all 15 credits starting in fall 2019. That's $1,485.

Overall, it's $357 more a semester and $714 more a year. If a student does graduate in four semesters, that's $1,428 more for the degree than students who graduate this spring.

In addition, the commission increased tuition for students in the Western Undergraduate Exchange Program and for out-of-state students.
