Wyoming Business Council Receives National Award
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Business Council has been recognized for supporting policies and initiatives designed to promote access to capital for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
The council recently received the Champion of Small Business Award from the National Coalition for Capital at a ceremony in Atlanta.
Ryan Whitehead is the business finance manager for the Business and Industry Division at the Business Council.
Whitehead says it’s critical to have alternative sources of capital to meet the financing needs of all types of businesses at every stage. He says the Wyoming Business Council’s has financial tools to help meet those needs.
The Business Council offers a variety of loan programs, issues Industrial Development Bonds, and administers the Wyoming Small Business Investment Credit Program, as well as the Wyoming Partnership Challenge Loan Program.
