Wyoming Athletics Rebrands Student Fan Club as Wild Bunch

The University of Wyoming Athletics Department has rebranded its official student fan organization as the Wild Bunch. Formerly named the Stampede, the new moniker will help remind UW students of the attitude and persona they should embody when cheering on the Cowboys and Cowgirls.

The new name also has a historic Wyoming tie-in as western legend Butch Cassidy and has gang were termed the Wild Bunch. Many of the Wild West tales that depict Butch and the Wild Bunch took place in Wyoming.

Memberships cost $15 and include an exclusive Wild Bunch t-shirt; reward card where members can earn points when they attend athletic events which can be used at the Brown ‘N Gold Outlet to purchase apparel and merchandise; free food at select events; special prizes and first-chance opportunities at postseason tickets.
