CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming Senate President-elect Tony Ross is asking fellow lawmakers to allow loyal supporters who live outside the state to serve on the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees.

According to the Associated Press, Ross pre-filed a bill last month to expand the number of trustees from 12 to 14, allowing additional members to be from out of state.

Ross said the change could bring expertise to the board from nonresident trustees who are from large corporations and who could help other trustees.
