CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — An arts center, a country musician and a retired community college instructor will receive this year's Wyoming Governor's Arts Awards.

The Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources announced the awards Tuesday.

One recipient is the Advocacy for Visual Arts Center in Gillette, which offers classes in a variety of art media.

Country music artist Jalan Crossland of Ten Sleep is also being honored.

Retired Casper College instructor Lynn Munns is being recognized for his contributions to arts education over his career.

The awards will be presented in Cheyenne on Feb. 8.
